Well over 100 Arabic-speaking Christians aged 18-35 from all over the north of Israel came for a conference held by the Arabic ministry of ONE FOR ISRAEL.
The conference was entitled “Useful to the Master of the House”, with the focus on becoming useful vessels for God based on a scripture from 2 Timothy:
“Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.” (2 Timothy 2: 20-21)
The large crowd of young adults, most of whom were believers (only a few didn’t yet know the Lord), came to the event in Haifa for a very special time of learning and fellowshipping together in the presence of God.

Hadil, one of the Arabic ministry team, opened the event together with Carlos Damianos, before a time of worship led by Shafiq Susoh from the Ramla Baptist Church together and his praise team. Everyone’s hearts were lifted in the spirit of worship as they praised the name of the Lord together.
Brothers Ebrahim Kardosh and Areej Shalufeh shared their testimonies of how God brought true change and transformation in their lives after accepting the Lord Jesus as their Savior. Their personal stories were a great source of encouragement and edification to all who heard them.

Pastor Nader Hayek then delivered a message from the Bible on the importance of living as believers who are intent on integrity, being ready and useful to the Master. He spoke on how to live a bold Christian life, willing to be used by God to carry the Gospel message honestly and lovingly to those who need to hear.

There was also a time of open questions with Brother Carlos and Pastor Nader on the panel, giving everyone the opportunity to ask and discuss their questions about faith, and about being a witness. The panel time was open, frank and deeply enriching.

The evening concluded with a great time of food and fellowship, bringing together the young adults and all who came in a family atmosphere full of joy and gratitude. All glory to God for what he has done and is doing in the lives of young people!

Several of the young adults expressed interest in coming to study at our Bible college. The college registrar, an Arab brother named Spiro, explained the programs and curricula we have on offer and encouraged people to apply, inviting them to come and study the word of God with Jewish brothers and sisters together at ONE FOR ISRAEL.
We thank the Lord for the successful conference, and for all the great conversations we had with the young people, especially during the Q&A panel. We also thank everyone who prayed for the event! The number who came, somewhere between 110-120, represents around half of all the believing Arab young adults in the whole of Israel, showing the great for encouragement and unity. They are the next generation and the future of Arab communities in Israel.
