My story:
“I thought that if there is a Creator of the world, I want to know him.”
This older man who contacted us looking for a personal relationship with God and is open to looking into what the Scripture says and wanting to understand more about the character of Yeshua. His understanding is greatly influenced by Jewish tradition, including Kabbalah, but he sent us messages after reading John chapter 8, especially verse 58 when Yeshua said, “Before Abraham was, I AM”. He’s beginning to understand what Yeshua really said about himself.
He told us, “The more I read the Scriptures, the more I see what’s written about sin, the need for a solution, and the connection with what Yeshua did.”
What to know
- Jewish people are warned not to read — or sometimes even touch — the New Testament. They are told it is antisemitic and dangerous. Therefore most have no idea what’s really written in it, and when they start to read it they find it is a very Jewish book!
- Many Jewish people feel God is far away and doesn’t want to be bothered by our personal prayers, yet those who are spiritually hungry often want to know Him in a more personal way.
- Kabbalah is a Jewish form of mysticism, and although it can get quite spiritually dark, God has left clues even there about the truth of the Messiah.
- Many Israelis are searching for meaning, answers and hope in this time of war. Our team receive messages from seekers all the time, and are ready to help people work through their thoughts and questions as they explore issues of faith.
How to Pray
- Please that God would continue to work in this man’s heart — that he would come to the decision to accept Yeshua into his life as Lord and Savior!
- Pray for those seeking help and hope to come across the truth about Yeshua through the New Testament, through believers, or online.
- Pray for our team to have God’s wisdom and grace as they seek to support those making enquiries.
- We are currently revamping all our apologetics videos which deal with common questions and objections to the faith. Please pray for wisdom, inspiration, and anointing over the whole team and process.
