What if we missed something, something that was there all along? The Hebrew idea of fisfus is more than simply “missing” something. It’s the realization that something important passed right in front of us, and we failed to recognize it. Throughout the Tanakh, we see the same pattern again and again: God draws near, yet His people struggle to recognize what He is doing. From Moses and the prophets to the promises of Isaiah, Daniel, and Jeremiah, Scripture points toward something greater, a new covenant, forgiveness, restoration, and the coming Messiah. Could it be that Yeshua was the fulfillment we were waiting for? Take a fresh look at the Scriptures and ask the question for yourself: Is it possible that we missed it?
