My story:

“Greetings. I live in Jerusalem and am looking to study the New Testament privately with someone. I would appreciate help.

I am a married ultra-Orthodox Jewish man who has been following the character of Jesus in a positive way for several years, but I have yet to study the New Testament systematically, or talk in depth with someone from the inside about Jesus’ approach to life.

I definitely believe that he is the greatest figure that the Jewish people and the world has ever had, but I do not fully understand the idea of the trinity that claims that Jesus himself is the revelation of God in the flesh. This is one of the issues I would like to understand more deeply.

I do think that the prophecies about the Messiah correspond to Jesus and there are hints of this in the Jewish Kabbalah. Regarding the doctrine of the trinity, I am aware of some of the material on the matter, but I want to understand more.”

How to Pray

• Please pray for this man’s family, and for the right time and way for him to share his faith with them. Pray they would also come to have saving faith in Yeshua.
• Pray for all those who believe in secret — that they would discover there are many more like them! To find fellowship and help as they seek to learn about Yeshua and follow Him.
• Pray for God’s wisdom and help for our team as they support people like this man, that they would help them navigate the challenges of seeking Yeshua in complex circumstances.
• Even though Kabbalah is a darker side of Jewish mysticism, even there God has put clues to help people find their way back to Him.
  “Even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me,” (Psalm 139:10). Pray through Psalm 139 for the Ultra-Orthodox (Hassidic) Jewish community.
