Pray for Muslims to Meet Jesus During Ramadan

The god of the Quran is a very different character to the God of Israel, but many Muslims are earnestly seeking God in the best way they know how at this time in particular, during Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth month of the year in the Islamic calendar, during which they fast and pray, spending time in introspection and in community. Muslims believe that it was during this month that the Quran was revealed to Muhammed on the “Night of Power” (Laylat al-Qadr) as a “guidance for the people.” Of course, we believe that “guidance” has led many astray. As Muslims in Israel, the Middle East, and all around the world are reflecting on their spiritual lives, it's a great time to pray for them to meet their true Creator!

The power of the Gospel

Our Arabic outreach team produces videos and content which clearly explains the good news of the Gospel to all who will listen. Rather than attacking other people's beliefs, they lay out the biblical prophecies about the Messiah: what He would do, where He would be born, how He would live, die, and rise again. “There is great power in the Gospel”, explains Carlos Damianos. “We simply lay out the truth, trusting in the power of the Gospel to bring conviction, repentance, and salvation”.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16)

Make the most of this opportunity

Muslims are supposed to fast from both food and drink during daylight hours, as a way of expressing their devotion to Allah. According to the Islamics Network Group, “the ultimate goal of fasting is gaining greater God-consciousness, known in Arabic as taqwa, signifying a state of constant awareness of God”. Since Muslims are often more open to God at this time, many who love Jesus take this opportunity to intercede for them during Ramadan in particular.

It's a great time to pray that Muslims who are genuinely seeking God would find Him! Why not join us?

Pray too for peace as there is often more tension and violence in Israel during Ramadan. Pray that the “Man in white” (Yeshua) who has appeared to so many Muslims already in dreams and visions would reveal Himself to thousands more!
